I have always been terrified of the dentist, even as an adult. I have very sensitive teeth, and even a cleaning can be extremely painful. When I switched to Gentle Dentist, I found out that the dentist doesn't have to be a bad experience. Dr. Millikan is always very attentive, and knows his patients very well. Anytime I have a procedure done, the staff makes sure I am relaxed with nitrous, and they always make sure to put my fears at ease. Gentle Dentist is also great for payment plans: as a recent graduate paying off loans, I don't have a ton of spare cash. So when I found out I had to get a major procedure done...I was nervous! My nerves were put to rest when the staff set me up on a plan to suit my budget. I would NEVER in a million years believe I would be saying this:

Dr. Millikan and his staff are welcoming and kind. They treat you with respect and understand and value that your own time is important. It is a positive, professional environment. You are greeted with warm smiles when you enter and throughout the entire visit. Dr. Millikan is an exemplary dentist that spends considerable time with you discussing any procedures and dental options to ensure that you feel comfortable. I recommend all my friends and family to Dr. Millikan.

Your staff (everyone!!!) are excellent. Becky is the absolute best hygeinist ever. Dr. Weiss and Dr. Milliken are both wonderful. Carol and the rest of the staff in the front office are always pleasant and easy to work with. I don't know any of the assistants names but they are also very professional and courteous. I always feel I can ask questions and am confident I'll get a good answer.
It seems that the care you give has improved with time. I like the way that new technologies are used in my care and appreciate the new drill that works fast!!
My overall experience with this practice has been positive.

We had to switch to a different dentist office due to insurance reasons. At first, I was worried about the change because we liked the old office. Now I couldn't be happier that we switched. Dr. Millikan is the nicest dentist I've ever met and his staff is great. My son actually likes going there. My son had to have his top two front teeth removed when he wasn't even 4 yet due to an injury that ended up resulting in abcess of the gums. This happened shortly after we switched practices and we were very stressed out. But Dr. Millikan and his wonderful staff made this tough time much less stressful for us by being so caring and explaining thoroughly what needed to be done and why. We've been very impressed with how good the customer service is at this office. Everyone from the receptionists to the dentist is super. Thank you!!! Julie K.
Bloomington Gentle Dentist is by far the most pleasant dental practice I've visited. Dr. Millikan and the Gentle Dentist staff are deeply considerate of their patients' comfort level, financial situations and scheduling complications. They have also, through their helpful guidance, greatly helped me to learn more about improving my dental health. It is very obvious that everyone there cares about helping people, and that they all find it personally rewarding to take care of their patients. It is a rare privelege to find as friendly, supportive and positive an office environment as Bloomington Gentle Dentist.
